In a poor rural area where many people turn to the library for their only access to computers and to the informational resources available via the Internet and where the number of computers is insufficient to meet the demand, priorities for use must be established. In keeping with the library's mission statement, the acceptable uses of the public access computers of the Albemarle Regional Library system are varied. However, not among them are social networking sites. Therefore, access to these sites from library computers will be blocked.
